Ms. Krystal Vaughan, a native of Virginia, holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Services and Counseling and Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy with dual license eligibility from Liberty University. She is pursuing her PHD in Educational Psychology from Walden University. Ms. Vaughan is a Licensed therapist for the state of Virginia and holds over 16 years of experience working in the field of mental health and psychology.

She believes that God has allowed her passion to align with her purpose and is known as the mental health ambassador. She has been graced, throughout her career, with the opportunity to work with several individuals from various age groups, cultures, and those diagnosed with a serious mental illness. She specializes in working with individuals who have been victims of trauma, and well as children and adolescents.  However, she is called to serve the leaders of the body of Christ and the next generation.

She is the founder and CEO of Strengthening Minds Inc. Strengthening Minds, established in 2020, seeks to offer support to individuals suffering from a serous mental illness (SMI) and those with an intellectual disability transform their lives through education, service, and support.

​

Having worked with adults and adolescents for over 16 years, Ms. Vaughan has extensive knowledge and experience in treating various diagnosis and believes that just because you have a mental health diagnosis does not mean it defines who you are. She is passionate about educating the body of Christ on Christianity and Mental health and how the two worlds collide. It is her desire to support leaders balance the weight of their spiritual assignment and their daily life. She is equally passionate about assisting children and adolescents develop holistically; emotionally, psychically, and mentally. Her desire for the world is that we  heal from the trauma of our forefathers and commit ourselves to our journey of mental wholeness.
